"Railroads and Art"
Art After Dark at the SLO Railroad Museum
Friday, July 7, 2017
On Friday evening July 7, 2017, nearly 300 art lovers and rail enthusiasts visited the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum (SLORRM) for its debut involvement with the SLO Art After Dark program. Located in SLO's Railroad Historic District, the SLORRM invited artists in all visual media to display and sell their railroad-themed art. Paintings, photography, sculpture and more - if it relates to trains and railroading, we welcomed the presentation.
Among the painters were Rod Aszman, Glen Matteson, Ray Spencer, and Joan Sullivan. Rail photographers Bonnie Adams, Jamie Foster, Rich Hansen, and David Weisman also had photos on display inside the museum and on our lighted exterior platform.
